FAMI-QS stands for Feed Additives and PreMixtures Quality System, and it is recognized globally as a leading certification scheme for specialty feed ingredients and additives. It is also the only scheme for feed industry.  

The main goal of FAMI-QS is to promote the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance of feed ingredients and additives. FAMI-QS certification requires companies in the feed industry to meet strict standards and criteria regarding the manufacturing, sourcing, and distribution of their products. 

Scope of FAMI-QS Certification

The FAMI-QS Certification scheme addresses safety, quality as well as the challenging topics of integrity (fraud), defence and regulatory compliance. The system is specifically designed for international recognition and since its inception in 2004, FAMI-QS has been endorsed by roughly 1,400 members across the world. Worldwide, the presence of certified companies spans across 47 countries.

Companies must undergo surveillance audit every year. Re-certification is required every 3 years.
