Peanut allergen
Peanut allergy has widely become a major health concern globally and is affecting 1 to 2% of total world’s population. These allergens are dangerous and decreases the quality of life of peanut allergic individuals. As of today, 13 peanut allergens have been recognized by the Allergen Nomenclature Sub-Committee of the International Union of Immunological Societies.
A peanut allergy basically occurs when human body overreacts to peanuts. It occurs when our body mistakenly recognizes peanuts as a harmful substance. A peanut allergy is one of the most common types of food allergies.
Harmful effects of peanut allergens:
Usually, people with a peanut allergy experience symptoms within two hours of eating peanuts. Peanut allergy symptoms can range from mild to severe and commonly include:

- Skin rashes
- Difficulty in breathing
- Vomiting’s
- Stomach cramps
- Swelling (in lips or tongue)
